The Spartan Race is back! Next Saturday, October 9, Zandvoort will be the backdrop of this seriously intense obstacle run. Only the real fanatics with Extreme Focus & Power will take on this challenge. It’ll be rough. It’ll be a test of endurance. Spartan Race is the first of its kind to feature chip timing and global rankings. Providing a proving ground for obstacle racers looking to test themselves in new ways across the world. With more than 200 races in more than 30 countries Spartan Race has more than 1 million participants across the world!

 

How Spartan are you?

In three categories of competition, also known as heats, participants are able to compete with each other. The open heat is for all levels of fitness. The competitive heat is for participants who want to compete in age categories. And the elite heat is for those who want to race against the best obstacle racers in the world. Each race of course escalates in distance, obstacle count and challenge level:

Spartan Sprint: 5 km / 20 Obstacles

Spartan Super: 10 km / 25 Obstacles

Spartan Beast: Half marathon / 30 Obstacles

 

Zandvoort: great ground to meet the elements

We've selected a great place for our return: the City of Zandvoort with a unique combination of Promenade and Beach, the Circuit of Zandvoort and other areas around. This will be not only a special mix, but also more challenging that you might think...join us for the weekend that will see Zandvoort become the city of Spartans all over the place!

 

Try before you die?

Spartan Race is an ‘all enthusiast’ event. Are you sportive rather than fanatic, but you still want to taste that Spartan Run feeling? We invite you to try some exercises at the event. Nightwatch has put up some ‘trial spots’ outside the course where you can try while you get coaching and tips. Also here, of course Nightwatch Extreme Energy Drink, 100% Plant Based will be stand by to help you with extra Focus & Power!
