Get ready for your new kicks. Nightwatch, in collaboration with Sportworx and Badminton Nederland, organizes the first international AirBadminton country tournament in the world: the Nightwatch Nations Cup. This unique sporting event will take place on Sunday, August 29, 2021 in the King of the Court stadium on Jaarbeursplein in Utrecht. On this day, the Dutch AirBadminton team will compete against the National teams of Belgium, Germany and France for the Nightwatch Nations Cup 2021.

 

Exciting tournament format

The tournament is played according to the team relay system. This means that a team must consist of a minimum of two men and two women, and a maximum of four men and four women per team. Each match, called a ‘Tie’, consists of five matches: a women's doubles, a men's doubles, a mixed doubles and two triples. The winner of the match is the team that reaches 100 points first.

 

A true AirBadminton Arena

The King of the Court stadium is the podium, which -especially for this event- is completely converted into a true AirBadminton Arena. This venue has been specially designed to hold a sports event during corona and is completely corona-proof. The players are in a 'bubble' and the visitors and their company take place in separate boxes to enjoy the AirBadminton.
