On July 22 & 23, Ruigoord is the spiritual stage for the wundergarten. Once an island in the Zuiderzee, the magical village is now a cultural freehaven in an ocean of the metropolitan rush. This special Amsterdam village has strong links with other island paradises. Especially with those whose survival is threatened. 

Conscious minds, party alike

It only needs a few degrees warmer for islands like Tuvalu, and Barbados to disappear below sea level like Atlantis. That's why Georgie, voice of the festival, says: it's going to be a summer of island solidarity! Georgie will recycle the plastic and other waste, use only electric batteries and minimize polluting transport.
